FAQ's

Q. What is Permanent Make-up?

A. This is a medically developed procedure; it is a method of implanting color pigments into your skin, to create a lasting cosmetic effect.

Q. Why use Permanent Make-up?

A. Permanent Make-up gives you the freedom to swim, exercise and even cry, without worrying about your make-up smearing or coming off. Also saves you time, in your daily grooming routine.

A. It allows you the option to enhance your natural features or to create a dramatic effect. The choice is yours!

A. It is ideal for people with poor eyesight or shaky hands - a polished look without the daily hassle.

A. It is perfect, for people who are allergic to conventional cosmetics on the market.

Q. Is it a form of tattoo?

A. Yes, but tattoos go into the third (sub-dermis) layer of the skin, and use indigo or pelican inks, Permanent make-up uses organic pigments and iron oxides. It is applied to the second layer of the skin (dermis). These pigments hold true to their color and will not turn the skin blue or pink, like tattoo inks will.  

Q. Is it safe?

A. Yes, the procedure is done under strict sterilization rules. A highly skilled, certified technician administers the procedure. All materials used are disposable, and they are never reused.

Q. Could I have an allergic reaction?

A. The chance of an allergic reaction is minimal, about 1%. Consult your doctor, if you think you might be allergic.

Q. Can diabetics have it done?

A. Yes, most diabetics can, if their sugar level is under control. Always check with your doctor first, before any procedure is done.

Q. Does it hurt?

A. A topical numbing cream is used, but comfort levels vary for each individual. The benefits far outweigh the discomfort you may experience.

Q. How long does it take?

A. Most sessions take 40 minutes to an hour and a half, per procedure. A touch-up may sometimes be required. They usually take less than an hour.

Q. Which colors are available?

A. We have a broad selection of shades and colors, or bring your favorite color and we will custom mix it for you.

Q. How long does permanent make-up last?

A. The treatment is permanent. It will not wash off. However, it will soften with time and will need to be re-touched in 3 to 10 years. Depending on your metabolism, how much you expose yourself to the sun and the condition of your skin.

Q. Does it scab?

A. Yes, after about two to three days, very tiny specs of scab will start to flake away... You will be given an antibiotic cream, to minimize the scabbing of your permanent make-up.

Q. Can I go back to work or out in public immediately after the procedure?

A. Yes. You may have some swelling or puffiness. Your eyes will look like you have had a good cry and seldom there is slight, bruising... The color is also a little more intense than the final color (All this may last two to three days).

Q. What can Permanent Make-up do for me?

A. Eyebrows: If your eyebrows are sparse, lack shape or are making you appear older. You will love to have Permanent Make-up. It looks better than penciled-on brows. And does not need to be applied everyday. An arch can be designed to create an illusion of 5-10 years younger in appearance. 

A. Eyeliner: Small amounts of pigment are applied at the base of your lash line, making lashes look fuller. A solid line, small dots or a soft "smudge look" can be achieved in your favorite color. Small eyes will look bigger or be given an almond eye effect. Droopy or sad eyes can be minimized, too! For Gentleman, tiny plugs of color are applied, instead of solid lines.

A. Lip liner & color: The colors used for lips are very extensive, from soft browns to deep reds. Definition and fullness can be added. The line can be applied lightly for a natural look or more heavily for a more dramatic look. A perfect cupid's bow can be designed to create sensual looking lips that will not loose their color even after a kiss

A. Eye-shadow: Have your favorite eye-shadow tattooed on. And brighten-up your eyes.
